Laser Hair Removal F.A.Q.
How does CUTERA CoolGlide laser permanently remove hair?
Using CUTERA CoolGlide laser treatments, your unwanted hair is permanently removed. This process uses light energy via lasers to hundreds of follicles in a single session. The laser treatment effectively diminishes the hairs at the root so they cannot regrow in a treated area. With this laser treatment, you can remove hair from any area including your bikini line, chest, back, underarms, or face. This treatment is applicable for men and women of all skin types and tones.
How long does it take for my laser hair removal?
When you come to get permanent laser hair removal, expect the full process to take about 4-6 treatments. Depending on the thickness of your hair, as well as the hair’s growth cycle, it could take fewer or more treatment sessions. The way the laser hair removal process works is by getting rid of hair that is in its active growth cycle. As your hair is either in the active, recessed, or resting cycle, you will need multiple sessions to target the hair coming into the active stage.
When will I see results from laser hair removal?
Immediately after your first treatment for laser hair removal, you will see results. The area may be swollen and red following this treatment, similar to a sunburn. You will be given aftercare instructions to minimize this issue so it is not bothersome. Within a week after your first treatment you will likely see regrowth of some hair in the treated area. Keep in mind this is simply from the hair that was previously recessed or resting. It will be treated during a subsequent session. CUTERA CoolGlide treatments are effective for permanent results with laser hair removal. So after your treatments are complete, you will not experience hair growth in that area again.
